We live extraordinarily stressful lives.
Jobs, kids, no job, no kids, broke, money to burn, running a business, moving up the career ladder, falling down the career ladder, taking care of our elderly family members, social media, shady friends & family, not to mention the state of the world–oh my goodness do we have a multitude of things that press down on us daily. But one of the biggest things that contributes to our stress is not taking care our ourselves in Mind, Body & Spirit. Everything & everyone tends to come first. But there are things we can do to alleviate our stresses. Much of it also has to do with our perspective–how we react to & view the things in our lives that don’t go the way we want.
One of the cornerstones in both my creative business SilkWire Jewelry & in the service I provide in my StressBusters Guided Meditation is that of WellBeing through the use of gemstones & crystals. Many people have begun embracing the knowledge of our Ancestors & of indigenous people the world over in the recognition that the gems of the Earth have many many beneficial properties for our WellBeing.
One very popular gemstone is Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz is keyed to the 4th or Heart Chakra, one of the 7 major chakras or energy centers in our body. Just staring at this beautiful crystal & taking deep, slow Conscious breaths in & out can lower stress levels along with blood pressure. [Now I am not a medical professional & do not offer this info in lieu of seeking medical advice for any ailment]. Rose Quartz properties deal with Love for yourself & for others, along with cooling, soothing, harmonizing energies. Some keywords are Love, Gentleness, Emotional Healing, Release of Stress, Uniting with the Divine. It is also said to draw off negative energy & to replace it with positive vibes. But like I always tell people, gemstones & crystals are not magic wands, your Conscious use is what helps to make changes. To read more about Rose Quartz & other stones, you can go to my blog A Bird Blogs About Gems http://www.silkwirejewelry.blogspot.com & my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/SilkWireJewelry

Identifying what your stresses are, seeing if there are things you need to let go of & changing your viewpoint are the first steps towards reducing your stress levels. Practicing deep, Conscious breathing periodically throughout your day helps you become calmer, gain more clarity & better able to handle things with ease. Incorporating your gemstone use along with a meditation practice even if it’s just 5 minutes a couple times a day is better than not doing it at all.
