First, we would like to thank you for considering us here at The Black Enterprise. You being here and allowing us to interact with your business growth is not taken lightly. We want you to know that we take very serious consideration in the companies that apply to be added to our Urban Business Platform. We understand that each company would like some assistance in growing their brand and please trust that we are here to help. Without you and your business, there is no Urban Social Business Platform and we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for seriously considering us. With that being said, we would like to give you guys some insight on our process and allow you to see & understand more of what we would like to do for you. We also want to explain what direction we plan to go in and how that will work for you.
Most commonly when businesses apply for The Black Enterprise we are seeing that some of you are simply notready. Please do not take this as being demeaning or as a hit against what you are trying to build, as it just means that we see your business front needs some work and/or we can see that you are currently under construction. We understand that everyone needs some time to get set up, get inventory together, get websites built, get high resolution pictures taken or whatever it may be. The thing is, that we want to get you guys added once you get these things together. We want people to be able to visit your website or store once it is open and you are actually waiting for customers placing your best foot forward. We think that it could hurt your business if we do not properly represent it. If people were to visit you too early and see that you aren’t properly set up, you more than likely lose a customer for life. Customers that have a bad initial experience (no matter how small) almost never return UNLESS,you have provided them with a timeline for opening, and its always good to set up a way to get their email or phone number so that you can contact them when you finally are ready to provide them a service. So in many of these cases, we keep your information and re-visit your application from time to time to see if you were able to get everything straightened out, then we get your business added.
Other cases that usually arise is that some people that apply simply do not fall under the company or business category with The Black Enterprise. What we mean is that we do not consider blogs or YouTube channels (or any other instances like this) a marketable business. Some may disagree and we understand but this is not the direction of The Black Enterprise. We believe that a business or company provides a service and are paid by customer(s). These applications are generally not approved because they do not fit the format that we are trying to provide on The Urban Social Business Platform. We are sorry if this causes inconvenience.
Sometimes some companies that apply need lots of outside work. We will try our best to assist but we are unable to approve your business if the website is not configured properly, misspelling(s) and mispronunciation(s) are significantly apparent, site alignment isn’t properly adjusted, photos are low quality, no inventory is posted, or there are several other indications that your store front may not be properly configured, or the site does not have a trustworthy feel. This is important! We suggest in this case that you reach out to someone who specializes in these instances so that you are able to engage with customers and they feel comfortable with engaging with you. We want you guys to understand that even though we are helping the small to mid-sized business as best as we can, we still want to present a professional front for those who come looking for you. We expect professionalism from the businesses that apply because we know that you take your progression seriously and we want to set and uphold a standard.
Lastly, at the end of the day there are lots of companies that are applying and we do take the time to go through them. It may take a few days for you to see your business added here to our map. Usually after we get you added to our map, we let you know that you have been added and welcome you. Each company is then placed in a rotation with other accepted companies to be posted at times that help businesses and businesses like yours the most. You will begin to see posts happen much faster as our numbers raise. For now, we are trying to give each company time to be seen. As our numbers rise, yours will as well. It is important to be sure you are subscribed and are following us on each platform. This increases our ability to tag you directly and re-engage with your social media to create posts for you.
Overall, we want everyone who participates to understand that we are working for them. We want you guys to know that there is a standard that we plan to hold each business to and hope that in the long run it helps your growth. When people visit The Black Enterprise, we want them to know that each business is trusted and when they visit you they will continue to do so. We want to give each of you the best shot we can and give you some advice along the way.
